Summer of Fireflies
Summary: Arthur Kirkland is a kid who was sent to the hospital , because of being pushed from the third floor at his school.When admitted into a hospital, he meets a kid Alfred F. Jones who is bright and makes him feel at ease. Nothing seemed to be able to tear them apart, all but one small detail about Alfred.
(ooc: I posted this once before on an old account I deleted, but here it is again.)

Stiles Headcanon: Stiles got his first buzz cut as a sign of solidarity with his mom when she started losing her hair because of chemotherapy. He also promised himself then that he would only let his hair grow out the day the cancer went away and he got his mom back.
The reason he still keeps his hair buzzed after all these years is because a part of him is still waiting for that day to come.

The day Clay Kaczmarek had a pretty good day.

Imagine what it would’ve been like if Sokka hadn’t managed to catch her hand when it slipped. If he was the only one of the two who had been saved here. I would’ve cried. He would hate himself; she’d never gotten married, grow old, and had children. The secret of metalbending would’ve been lost, and Lin Bei Fong never would’ve existed, let alone been the head of the police force. And if Lin Bei didn’t exist, she probably isn’t going to have some future badass scene where she saves Korra from the jaws of death and Korra would probably be killed.
WHY WOULD YOU SAY THAT? ;~;
It gets worse.
Put yourself in Toph’s place at this moment. The only thing she is touching — the only thing she is holding onto — is Sokka’s hand. That’s all. She can feel the wind and hear the yelling, but she can’t see any of it. Her world is the world she feels through her surroundings, but right now she can only feel Sokka. So her world is Sokka’s hand, and it’s slipping away.
D,:

World Press Photo of the year awarded to Samuel Aranda
The international jury of the 55th annual World Press Photo Contest announced Friday that it had selected a picture by Samuel Aranda as the World Press Photo of the Year 2011.
Jurors said the photo of a veiled woman holding a wounded relative in her arms after a demonstration in Yemen captured multiple facets of the “Arab Spring” uprisings across the Middle East last year. It was taken at a field hospital inside a mosque in Sanaa on October 15.
The winning photo was selected from 101,254 images submitted by 5,247 photographers from 124 countries. (source)
